2014 Black Rabbit Red
Rich tannins provide structure for this fruit-forward offering, with notes of black cherry, cassis, raspberry, bakers chocolate, and an undercurrent of barrel spice.
Food Pairing Notes
The tannins in the 2014 Black Rabbit Red give it body and help to balance robust and rich foods. It pairs well with stews and roast root vegetables. Cheeses well suited to this style of wine are typically cow’s milk cheeses, such as Gorgonzola, Sharp Cheddar, Danish Blue, Fontina and Gouda.
We have been making our flagship red table wine for more than 2 decades. Named for Edgefield’s fabled mascot, the Black Rabbit Red is predominately crafted from Bordeaux varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. Rounding out the blend and providing additional complexity is a host of other varietals, including Syrah, Tempranillo, and Zinfandel.
