Edgefield Winery Newsletter: June 2018
Greetings Friends,

People from many cultures have held solstice celebrations for thousands of years. Traditionally people celebrated renewal, life and the potential for a good harvest. We’ll be celebrating the arrival of summer with singing, dancing and of course, wine! We look forward to seeing our wine club members and meeting new friends this year on Thursday, June 21 in the Fir Grove at The Little Red Shed, featuring live music. Bring your flower crown and come cheers to our new releases and summer’s arrival.

2016 Winemakers Reserve Chardonnay

A reserve wine is usually a wine that was held back from a remarkable vintage, vineyard site or both and has been aged longer than other wines, making it the highest of quality. We are thrilled to share our first release of 2016 Winemakers Reserve Chardonnay, from Lonestar Vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills AVA in Oregon. We produced 83 cases, and as club members you will have the first opportunity to enjoy this wine.

Because there is such a limited amount, the Reserve Chardonnay will only be available in the Edgefield Tasting Room and online.  We look forward to seeing you this summer -- cheers to Chardonnay.
Upcoming Events
Cider Week
June 21st-July 1st *Oregon Locations Only*

Edgefield Winery has been crafting hard cider to serve in our pubs since 1992, offering clean, crisp flavors that highlight the bounty of the Pacific Northwest, as ours is sourced from the orchards of Hood River. We craft cider in tanks alongside our wine at Edgefield! Our cidermaking takes place year-round as we produce more than 70,000 gallons in order to feature our seasonal and standard ciders exclusively in our locations.

Celebrate this ode to a popular handcrafted beverage and food during Oregon Cider Week: All Edgefield Cider pints $5.50.
Estate To Table Dinner
Thursday, July  26, 7 p.m., Edgefield

Dine in the Edgefield Garden amongst the bounty and enjoy the special seasonal menu created by Black Rabbit Executive Chef Chris Rattaro. Feast on produce and fruit grown on the Edgefield property and incorporated into the elaborate multi-course meal, paired with our Edgefield Distillery cocktails, and selections from Edgefield Winery and Brewery. What a night!
James Beard Dinner
Saturday, August 11, 7 p.m., Gearhart Hotel

We’re pairing Edgefield Wines with a multicourse dinner that pays homage to the father of American cuisine, who used to summer at the Oregon Coast in Gearhart. Our team of executive chefs will use Beard’s recipes to craft a coastal menu, which will be enjoyed outdoors. In addition to our wines, cocktails will be served.
